| PS.NET/CAD - Benefits | ||||
| Complete Command & Control PS.NET/CAD provides a full command and control resource and incident management capabilities, and has been designed to provide complete automation in the communications center, from initial call receipt to final incident disposition. The system can function with separate or integrated call-taking operations. PS.NET/CAD integrates with E911 systems and includes E911 Phase II capabilities; including reverse geo-coding and mapping. The system also supports links to State systems to allow integrated vehicle stop inquiries and simplified query capabilities for operators. Accessible Decision Making PS.NET/CAD delivers the performance and functionality required in today’s modern communications center. PS.NET/CAD integrates with other products in the PS.NET Software Suite, including records management and mobile digital communications. Premise alerts, location history, warrants, pre-plans, hazards and other critical information are instantly available. Integral interfaces to local, State and National databases, E911 systems, mapping and AVL are standard features. Information at the Fingertips Dispatchers can quickly view and manage resources, be alerted to new calls for service, and reminded of critical periodic tasks, such as unit or personnel status checks. The CAD status screen displays visual alerts to assist in the identification of critical information. Incidents are automatically ordered by priority and status, and are color-coded by call status for quick and easy identification. Calls-in-progress can be flagged and prioritized to alert dispatchers to urgent events. Alerts can also be displayed for call information, CAD call priority, and unit status. True Multi-Agency Distributed Operation PS.NET/CAD includes support for multi-agency regional operations or larger agencies with separate communications centers. The system features flexible agency-defined response protocols and run cards. Incident transfers and other transactions occur transparently. Agency activity and case numbers are managed separately. Mobile digital communications, State gateways and other services can be shared. Standardized Platform PS.NET/CAD is scalable across a broad range of agency sizes and operational requirements. The system utilizes standard PC networks and the Microsoft Windows operating system. All data is stored in a standard Microsoft SQL Server RDMS that maintains years of history on-line and instantly available for operations and management reporting. |

| Intelligent User Interface When it comes to working the way dispatchers do, PS.NET CAD design provides the means to quickly capture, manage and control system activity. All operations are prompted in forms or dialog windows; no complex commands have to be memorized. Dispatchers can use the pointing device or Quick Commands to speed the entry of frequently used commands. An enhanced command set provides a full functionality for the operator. Easier Learning The improved user interface provides an intuitive, easier to use, and easier to learn system. This greatly minimizes initial and on-going training requirements. An installed system can be expanded in modular increments as requirements dictate. Adding an additional workstation, for example, has minimal impact on the existing system since each workstation does most of its ownwork. Budgeting for major system upgrades is eliminated. Sophisticated Address Verification PS.NET/CAD supports an internal discreet address or segment based geoCoding capability, along with a detailed premise information file that is immediately available and can be displayed with the inclusion of the Advanced Mapping feature. The geoCode capability will validate the reported address and return police beats, fire response zones, and other data to assist in dispatching police units or fire apparatus. The system will automatically recommend available units by Call type and location. Full Integration PS.NET CAD supports full integration with external systems eliminating duplication of effort and streamlining dispatch efficiency. The CAD system fully supports local records access, mobile digital communications, E911, and a variety of external gateways. Gateways provide access to external systems such as, paging services, automatic notifications, remote databases and state and national switching systems.
