| PS.NET/Fire MDC - Integration | ||||
| Complete CAD Integration PS.NET/Fire MDC tightly integrates with the PS.NET/Fire CAD system and enables the field unit to more retrieve real-time situational information and to accurately reflect current field activity. The System enhances operational efficiency by minimizing the possibility of missed data via radio communications, and directly enables field units with direct access to operational information. Copies of dispatch messages and unit/event status summaries are automatically available at the mobile workstation, eliminating the requirement for the field officer to write down the response address. Unit Status updates and related commands may be fully managed via the mobile workstation. Access to call and premise history information, CAD status displays and fully integrated system inquiry are standard features of the PS.NET/Fire MDC. Digital Dispatch When a unit or station is dispatched to an incident, the CAD system sends a dispatch message to all related mobile workstations. The dispatch message provides the details of the incident and any information known about the location. Information includes; Complete Geofile Information , Location Contact Names and Phone Numbers, Fire-Related Hazard Information, Additional Premise Information. Prior calls at the incident location are included only if the current incident location was verified by dispatch and prior call locations were also verified. Mobile Mapping and AVL Integration PS.NET/Fire MDT supports vehicle location in field units. The AVL data is displayed immediately in the vehicle, providing moving map displays for the officer. AVL data is filtered by the mobile to minimize rf traffic, and transmitted to be displayed at CAD workstations. The PS.NET mobile workstation integrates with and supports GPS systems on compatible hardware. The GPS information provides direction of travel map displays on the workstation in real-time, and complete situational displays including incident locations and other unit locations. Incidents are shown along with relevant incident information. Complete incident information is available with a click of the pointer. Units are displayed at the unit’s current position, including latitude and longitude information. To assist the officer, the system displays the nearest structure number on the current street display. |

| Complete Location Inquiry Fire Mobile Location inquiry returns are optimized for the field officer to help determine if dangerous situation exists or if action plans need to be modified based on the available information related to the location. Fire Units can run a standard location inquiry which will return a text message providing whatever information is available in the system to field personnel. Information includes; Complete Geofile Information CAD Prior Calls Location Contact Names and Phone Numbers Fire-Related Hazard Information Additional Premise Information The system will accept either an explicit address—house #, street, street type, directions and/or apartment—or a place name. If a place name is entered, the system will automatically wildcard the trailing characters of the place name. Responses may be printed at the base end for later retrieval. The system employs a sophisticated queue system; as such the officer can submit multiple inquiries as there is no need to wait for responses before submitting additional queries.
