PS.NET/Mapping - CAD
Seeing the Situation
    Easy-to-Use Mapping ControlsSceen ShotScreen Shot
PS.NET/Advanced Mapping features easily configure mapping displays to meet dispatching needs with an intuitive and user-friendly design.  The operator can quickly select the layers and features to display on the map from the layer control list and application toolbar.  A large viewable map window contains all pertinent mapping data, with an easy to use toolbar and layer control.  The CAD Mapping toolbar allows quick zoom in, zoom out, pan, display the entire map, and one click access to map layer properties.  Map labels and street names can be turned on or off by the dispatcher as required.

Interactive Map DisplaysSceen Shot Screen Shot
Like most aspects of the CAD workstation, the map displays can be pre-defined so the most common options are immediately available to the dispatcher when the workstation is initialized.  The operator, however, can quickly select the layers and features to display on the map from a layer control list and toolbar at the top of the map.

Accessible Map LayersSceen Shot Screen Shot
Provides feature rich, easy-to-use map displays for the dispatcher.  Map displays are specifically formatted and designed for dispatching.  Map displays can be pre-defined so the most common options are immediately available to the dispatcher when the workstation is initialized.  The Advanced Mapping option can show a broad range of map layers; including point, line, and polygon layers.  These layers can support a wide variety of information such as, response zone layers, police beats, water sources, a milepost layer.  Various layers are used for determination of response areas (run card areas, beats).  The layer to be used for each agency type (law, fire, EMS, other) is configurable.

“Any” location address verificationSceen Shot Screen Shot
Callers do not always know where they are when they need help.  To alleviate this problem the  PS.NET/ Advanced Mapping application can use any reported location for address verification.  With the appropriate verification layers constructed, discreet addresses, common place names, intersections, mileposts, location aliases and Lat/Long location identifiers can be used to accurately locate an event location.

Aerial PhotographsSceen Shot Screen Shot
The PS.NET/ Advanced Mapping application supports the display of aerial photographs to provide a topographical  perspective on the event area.  The Advanced Mapping Option includes support for most common image formats.  This provides an additional dimension to the spatial displays that facilitates many emergency situations.
