| Communicatons & Architecture MatriX provides network wide access to remote law enforcement databases, including local RMS’s, NCIC (National Criminal Information Computer) and NLETS (National Law Enforcement Teletype system), effectively providing complete access to every departmental workstation. Query capabilities are provided with simple and easy to read masks and most returns are formatted for rapid assessment. MatriX is supplied with both Windows and browser based client programs. External System Interfaces MatriX provides a completely modular message switch used to interconnect the agency’s system components to remote systems such as local or regional records systems, state message switching systems, or National inquiry databases. Intelligent use of a separate gateway modules for each external system interconnect simplifies interface programming and allows additional interconnects t be defined without compromising the extended system. Interface modules may be run on a single machine or distributed across multiple computers to help maintain overall system performance. MatriX is also compatible with fail-over clustering and non-stop computing installations. Secure Communications MatriX supports end-to-end encryption for the full data path through the switch and supports the most common communication protocols, including; Asynchronous, Bisynchronous and TCP/IP. MatriX supports connection to remote WEB Services. Multiple WEB services can be configured and the switch will selectively handle routing to these services. Additionally An open specification is also available to allow third party applications to connect to the switch via the EIS TCP/IP Connect Service using standard TCP/IP. |
