PS.NET/SI - Special Investigations
Secure Gang, Terrorist, Drug Enforcement Track
    SI OverviewSceen Shot Screen Shot
PS.NET/SI Special Investigations is an enterprise class computer program designed to support drug enforcement, terrorist, gang, and other special law enforcement task forces and investigative units. The module supports these special investigative units by comprehensively tracking the elements of the investigation and their relationships; including organizations, persons, activities, vehicles, and evidence. The system can optionally integrate with EIS records system modules, and is fully scalable to support small investigative units or large, multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional activities.

EIS?s PS.NET/SI Special Investigations module is ideal not only for local gang officers, but also for homeland security personnel, anti-terrorism departments, and any investigators seeking to track a complex web of relationships in a highly secure software application. The PS.NET/SI software is multi-faceted application, allowing authorized users to quickly collect and analyze information related to any special investigative needs, including gang tracking, organized crime and confidential investigations. The module provides a full crime report with names, vehicles, and narrative for use by the assigned investigators. With the fully integrated entity diagramming tool, data relationships can be visualized on command, quickly revealing links between perpetrators, events, vehicles, property and related elements.

PS.NET/SI

Within PS.NET/SI each data element operates as discreet entities, such as organizations, people, weapons and vehicles, and then a structure of inter-relationship is created.  The objective is to develop a profile on individuals, including known associates and activities.

Unlike the Law Enforcement Records system, which is oriented toward reports and documents, the PS.NET/SI Special Investigation subsystem is oriented toward individuals, entities, and relationships.   Operationally, the SI programs track organizations, names, vehicles, weapons, and activities.  Activities can be full crime reports, field contact reports, citations, warrants, etc. Activity data can be imported from the RMS or entered directly. Data is generally abbreviated from that contained in the RMS. It is meant to provide and additional investigative capability, not to duplicate the RMS. In addition, the SI module has its own fully secured Investigative Reporting capability.

The PS.NET/SI investigation software provides a sophisticated, secure data collection platform and is integrated with the extended PS.NET Suite of products. The program provides an easy to use user interface, providing every authorized user instant access to investigative details and related data. The internal linking tools are simple to use and can provide a new perspective on active cases.

PS.NET/SI Special Investigation data is stored in a separate, secure SQL Server database.  While information can be extracted from the PS.NET Law Records database for use in PS.NET/SI, no data can be accessed from PS.NET/SI by other Records users and there is no indication to records users that the PS.NET/SI application has accessed records data.  The TaskForce subsystem maintains fully independant security and edits tables.
